Dermamelan / Amelan

The Birmingham Pigmentation Clinic uses the latest Dermamelan / Amelan Treatments for clients with pigmentation. This treatment is dramatically effective and involves very little down time. It is a rapid medical depigmentation treatment that is effective in all types of pigmentation problems, even in resistant cases that have failed all other types of treatment. It can tackle dermal pigmentation problems.

This treatment can be applied in any season and is suitable for all skin types. It is completely safe and the pigmented areas will usually disappear in a short period of time. It is recommended to use a SPF Factor 30+ with this treatment, as pigmentation can recur within 9-12 months if left exposed. The maintenance creams (applied at home) must be continued for at least 9 months to prevent recurrence.

The lightening method comprises two phases; the first to be applied in our specialist clinic by our clinic nurse, and the second maintenance program to be applied at home.

After application of the lightening method in our clinic, the Dermamelan treatment maintenance cream should be applied at home to continue the lightening action of the Dermamelan Mask.

Dermamelan maintenance cream is designed for those individuals who have already gone through the in-clinic procedure.

There are minimal side effects (only slight redness and flaking) and there is a regularisation of sebaceous secretion resulting in reduction of any excessive oiliness and improvement of any acne problems. The skin becomes bright, rejuvenated and free from abnormal pigmentation, with results starting to show in just 10 to 14 days.
